Newsletter Tuesday, October 5, 2021

October 5, 2021Happy Tuesday! The Church dedicates October as the month of the Holy Rosary. This month we venerate Mary under her title Our Lady of the Rosary. During this month we make an extra effort to pray the rosary daily. The students will be praying a decade of the Rosary daily in their classes. How can you incorporate praying the rosary into your family’s routine? Maybe by saying a decade in the car before or after school or before bed. Does your child need to learn one of the prayer used when saying the rosary? Can you make time to help them learn the prayer? Remember you are your child’s first teacher!
Parents in Prayer Join us for Parents in Prayer! Inviting all Parents, Staff, Alumni and Family Members: Join us in Praying the Rosary.  Every Tuesday morning, in the library at 7:40, we will be Praying for our students and their families. Beginning Tuesday, September 21st, please find time to join us for a cup of coffee and all or part of the Rosary. We will be done by 8:00. If you are unable to join us and need some prayers, ask for the PIP notebook in the office and write down your prayer requests. Coffee and Donuts

COVID Updates As you may have heard, Governor Newsom plans to add the COVID vaccine to the mandatory school vaccinations list. This will not happen for some time since the children’s vaccinations are still in clinical trials. The Diocese began meeting this week to discuss this new mandate. On a tele-briefing today with the County, they indicated that there may be Religious and personal exemptions. We will find out more in the coming months. As always, I will keep you informed as information becomes available.
Students who have had COVID should be evaluated by a Health Care Provider before exercising or playing sports.  There is a new Decision Tree. I have attached it to this newsletter. We will begin using the new tree starting tomorrow.
Please keep your child home if they show these symptoms:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
When your child returns to school please have them come through the front office to verify they are ready to return.
