Happy Tuesday! This Sunday’s Gospel reading is one of my favorites. In it Jesus is in the temple watching the offerings being made. He notices those with great wealth giving large sums and a poor widow giving a few coins. Upon seeing this he gathers the disciples and says that we should be like the widow who gave all that she had. We are reminded that we are called to give our time, talent, and treasure.
I spent time at assembly reminding our students that one of the most precious gifts we can give is our time. We always say “I need more time!”, “there isn’t enough time!”. What I have learned is that when we ‘spend’ our time with family or helping others there always seems to be enough time and we feel rewarded from the time spent. How can you share your time with someone this week? What are the benefits you will gain?
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Today we begin Parent/ Teacher Conferences. Please make sure that you have signed up. At the conference you will receive your child’s report card, STAR testing results as well as an update from the teacher about academics and behavior. We are looking forward to this time together. Please be on time as our time is short. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/805044EA9AF29A1F94-ssaparentteacher
