Welcome to Santa Sophia Academy!
We are excited to have your family join our community!
Registration for incoming families for the new school year takes place in March. Re-registration is first opened for our currently enrolled families in early March, and then for those who have previously contacted the school and requested consideration. Openings for new registration are announced to the parish and community at large.
Selection of new students is made on the basis of:- Availability of openings in the classes
- Siblings of Currently Enrolled Families
- Being a Registered Parishioner
- Catholics Registered in other parishes
- Date of Initial Contact with SSA
- Testing results, interview, records, and references from former school
- Children who turn 5 on December 2nd will have the option to enroll at SSA Transitional Kindergarten.
- Children who have their fifth birthday on and between September 2nd and December 2nd will be admitted to transitional kindergarten.

The Diocese of San Diego Catholic Schools mandates that a child must be age five by September 1st in order to enter Kindergarten. Our policy follows this admission requirement through the years, grade by grade. All new students are evaluated prior to admission.

Tuition & How to Apply

In order to complete enrollment, the following documents are required:
- Birth Certificate
- Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
- First Eucharist and First Reconciliation Certificates (if applicable)
- Most Recent Report Card

- Current Immunization Record (Yellow Card)
- Oral Assessment Form (filled out by your dentist)
- School Entry Health Exam Requirement
