The "Days of the Dead" or All Hallowtide
The three days of Halloween, All Saints, and All Souls make up All Hallowtide.
Wednesday- All Saints Day- Mass at 8am-
Students may dress as a saint and process up at the beginning of Mass.
Thursday- All Souls Day- Mass at 8am
Friday- Morning Mass, Adoration & Benediction. 1/2 Day
Please ensure that your child is in their Mass uniform each day. (Unless they are dressed as a saint.)
Tomorrow we begin our theme for the month of November, Peace. Peace can mean many things, quiet, calmness, grace. When we think about christian peace, we think of the peace of our Lord. In Philippeans, we are told to not be anxious about anything but instead by prayers and petitions with thanksgiving to present our requests to God. We know that God knows us better than we know ourselves and he will bring goodness out of any situation. So let us be a peaceful people, bringing our needs to God.
We are still looking for more participation in the survey.
If you haven't participated please do so.
Your voice matters!

Friends of the poor Walk
On Friday, November 17th, following Mass, students will once again walk for the poor. A t-shirt, given to each student to wear for the walk.
The shirt pictures Blessed Frederic Ozanam, founder of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. As a college student in Paris, Frederic was challenged by other students to show how his Catholic Faith helps the poor. In 1833 that challenge began the Society of St. Vincent de Paul which today, out of love, continues to care for our neighbors in need.
On our Santa Sophia campus we have a Pantry House where volunteers with the Society provide food to over 1,000 people monthly. Emergency assistance is also given to families in need. This week, donation envelopes will go home with each student so they can begin collecting money for the poor. We hope the student asking others for donations, on behalf of the poor, will help root them in God.
Our goal is for all students to actively participate and turn in donations by the week of the walk. Then we will celebrate the fruit of their great work!.
“Nature demands that trees be deeply rooted before they can bear fruit and this is a gradual process.”-
